In November 2011, all of Europe will be looking towards Copenhagen where the next general assembly of BEST presidents will take place. 150 local group leaders, international committee coordinators and the BEST board members will meet to determine the future direction of BEST at the conference which we in the Copenhagen group has been elected to organize.
In the spring of 2010, some members from BEST Copenhagen got the idea of running for the very prestigious task of organizing the BEST President Meeting in 2011. Over the summer, huge efforts were put into developing the concept that we were going to compete with at the Presidents Meeting 2010 in Krakow, and in the end, an overwhelming victory was achieved in the final voting round against Riga, one of the strongest BEST groups. This means that in the period 9th-16th of November 2011, the largest BEST event in Scandinavia since 2004 will be taking place at DTU in Lyngby, Copenhagen.
